It is very rare these days that I get a day off to do what I want to do; so you can imagine my absolute delight when I had a day off last week and nothing planned! The possibilities were endless. The world was my oyster. I had a tank full of petrol and a wallet full of *ahem* pennies, I could do anything I wanted to do!
So, I decided to drive the 60 miles to Sheffield to have a luxurious hot chocolate and cupcake in my favourite cupcake shop. Now you know a shop is worth the hype when you find yourself spending £15 on petrol to have a cupcake that costs around £2!
The 'Fancie' cupcake shop I went to is based in Sheffield and recently celebrated their 4th birthday (it's still a lickle baby). They have just opened a new one on Eccesall Road and it is ahmayzing! The old school décor mixed with the modern every day life really has established the shop as a favourite for the locals and tourists!
I was a little bit in awe because I did not realise that they had started doing savoury food as well - check out this gorgeous looking pizza and salad bar...
My favourite part of going to Fancie's are the cupcakes (I'm drooling already!). They have them in any and every flavour: vanilla, chocolate, snickerlicious, lemon, carrot, marshmellow, red velvet - you name it they have. They also do mini cupcakes (Mini? Mini? MINI? Who needs mini cupcakes?), macaroons, big cakes etc).
I ALWAYS have the snickerlicious cupcakes; the velvety chocolate sponge accompanied with the rich chocolate buttercream and peanut butter topping is just melt in your mouth gorgeous.
These are some of the other cupcakes they have on offer.
I had a lovely time relaxing and catching up with my homie over hot drinks and cakes. Every day should be like this!
What is your favourite cupcake shop?
I think I would definitely drive all the way up for this. It looks nothing short of heavenly.

DeleteIt is a beautiful little shop!
We don't have anything like this near where I live either so I totally understand your pain! We just need to hunt out the little gems that are hidden away :)
Thanks for stopping by!
