Mac Pro Longwear Concealer

I may be a little late on this bandwagon, but could I please bring your attention to one of the best products ever made in the history of make-up products. Now, I know that everyone and their dog has been raving about the Mac Pro Longwear Concealer for a couple of months now, but just hear me out on this!

Creme De La Mer

My Experience
I have often walked past the Creme De La Mer counter staring lustfully at the rows and rows of gorgeously packed products that I know I could never afford. Knowing that these holy grail products that the world's biggest celebs swear by would never be something I could justify buying still didn't stop me from pining after them.  I decided that I really wanted to try at least a sample and took the plunge and headed over to the Creme De La Mer counter in Manchester with my friend.

Life!

This past month has been crazy; do you ever feel like the world around you is moving so fast yet you're still stationary? I've kind of been in that 'coasting' through my life phase for a few weeks now and I have been pretty lazy (hence the lack of blogs and no progression in the rest of my life). I have decided to embrace all the rights and wrongs and actually take charge! No one can change your life but you. right?

This new attitude has enabled me to take the leap that I have been trying to make for the past year and quit my job to look for a new career path. There really is no point in doing a job that you don't want to get up in the morning for - life is too short for that kind of stress! I have also decided to look after myself a bit more; this includes hitting the gym, actually making an effort with my appearance (I think I lived in PJ's and trackies for a month), and actually pursue my hobbies. I don't want to get to a-crazy-old-age and regret not doing more in my life.

So this was a quick little post about what is happening in my life right now. I am currently working at a summer school where I have been working for the past 4 summers - and after that it is time to get jon hunting and hopefully I will stumble onto something that I really enjoy. I have been loving working at the summer school because it doesn't require as much work as my previous job did AND I get to dress up. There is no dress code so I've been getting out the dresses and heels and experimenting with some different styles.

What's going on with you guys?

White chocolate and strawberry cheesecake

Hey gorgeous ladies! Today I bring to you the most delightful, melt-in-your-mouth cheesecake you are ever going to feast your eyes and taste buds on. It consists of a gorgeous crumbly biscuit base, and an indulgent vanilla, white chocolate and strawberry filling which has been topped with juicy strawberries and delicate white chocolate shavings. Sounds heavenly right? Well, it tastes even better!

May Empties

Hey lovely laydees! How are you all? I have been meaning to get my May empties post out for the past week but life just kept getting in the way. Anyway, let's get straight into this!

The first thing that you need to know about me is that I am a hoarder, like an obsessive hoarder. I also have a very bad shopping problem... can you see the problem here? I often find myself buying new things that hit the shops and completely forgetting about the older products, which results in them getting out of date and I end up literally throwing my money away. So, like many bloggers, I made a pact to myself to finish products before buying new ones - and the best way to keep track of that is to do an empties post every month.

The Little Treats in Life

I don't usually pay much attention to local markets, festivals and fairs because I always thought they were going to be a bit pants...I mean, this is Stoke-on-Trent! However, after launching my cupcake business I participated in a fair few of these community events and realised how ignorant I had been. The people on the stalls are so passionate, so friendly, and really good at what they do!

Last weekend, Daddy N told me that there was an Artisan Market being held in Trentham Gardens and it looked good. I got there asap and revelled in the buzzing atmosphere, the gorgeous aroma of food and the many samples of free food.

I thought I would share some of my lovely memories :)

Mac Blush | It's a 'Love Thing'...

Mac products have been circling the blog hemisphere for as long as I can remember. I always walked past the counter and felt a bit intimated by the gorgeous makeup artists (by no fault of their own) and the crowds of people who seemed to know exactly what they were doing in the chaotic environment. The countless rave reviews, the gorgeous collections and the beautiful packaging finally wore me down and I made my way to the counter filled with determination; I WILL buy something!

'There ain't no calories in it if it's home made' | The Triple Threat Cupcake

Hey lovely readers :) I thought I'd share one of my biggest passions with you today; BAKING! I started my own (rather successful) cupcake business last year but I had to stop it a few months ago when I started working full-time.

I still enjoy baking as a hobby and I love experimenting with different flavours. I discovered peanut butter last month - I know, I know, I have been living under a rock my whole life - so I decided to incorporate it into a cupcake recipe. I came up with my 'Triple Threat' cupcake - a moist chocolate sponge, a gooey nutella centre, a melt-in-your-mouth dairy milk buttercream and a peanut butter topping.

Yes, it is as heavenly and calorific as it sounds - but like I always say, 'If it's home made then it contains no calories.' These beauties took me 40 minutes to bake and decorate. They are ever so easy and inexpensive to make, and perfect for this bank holiday weekend!

Eating a vegetable rainbow...

Hey lovely readers! Some spare time on my hands has resulted in me experimenting and getting my hands dirty in the kitchen.  I love it when I am able to really think about what I am having for my meals; your body is a temple so it's nice to put extra effort and thought into what goes in it.

Last week I made these mouthwatering spicy vegetable burgers that I really wanted to share with you. It is the most simplest recipe, everything you will need is going to be in your kitchen, and you get to impress the family/friends with restaurant quality food that you rustled up in your own little humble abode!

Carry on reading to see how to make these explosive little burgers!

Hauling the week away!

This blog was originally meant to be a beauty blog (not that you would know by looking at the past couple of posts), so I thought it was time that I injected some beauty and glamour into the blog, and what better way to start it off with than a haul!

I have a very serious shopping problem; I shop if I am happy, I shop if I am sad, hell - I'll even shop if I'm hungry! This is the damage that I did last week. I will be posting more in depth reviews once I have tried out the products - this post will be more like a first impressions kind of thing.

Oreo stuffed cookies

We have all seen these oreo stuffed cookies floating around the interweb hemisphere, so it seemed like the right thing to try them out to see if they were worth the hype. I mean, so what if I'm on a diet? This is commitment to my blog! That is the only reason I made them, not because I was craving sugar... definitely not because I was craving sugar...

BUT if I was having a low sugar moment, boy did these bad boys fix that problem. These gorgeous bites of crumbly chocolate goodness are so easy to make and are perfect for any occasion - hell, who even needs an occasion! Just take around 20 minutes out of your day to experience heaven in your humble abode...have I sold them to yet?

Keep reading to see how easy it is to bake these beauties!

Style Inspiration

There seems to be a lot of controversy surrounding Cara Delevinge at the moment; I was waiting for the day that the media started a backlash on everybody's favourite model of the moment. Why is it that people feel the need to build someone up, only to tear them straight down? It seems to be a running trend in society; whether is be friends, family, acquittance or celebrities.

Drug culture is rife in the model world, so why wouldn't a 20 year old decide to experiment? I don't condone drug use but I love, love, love, love, love Cara D and her fashion, and it saddens me that instead of offering help people are ready to tear her a new one.

I feel that the top picture portrays Cara D; it shows her sense of style but also gives us an insight to how human she is - just like us!

Here are a few photos of her that have really inspired me...

"Fancie a cupcake?"

It is very rare these days that I get a day off to do what I want to do; so you can imagine my absolute delight when I had a day off last week and nothing planned! The possibilities were endless. The world was my oyster. I had a tank full of petrol and a wallet full of *ahem* pennies, I could do anything I wanted to do!

A little quirky, a little Mookau!

When was the last time you walked past a shop and stopped dead in your tracks? Was it when you saw a cheaper version of that Topshop dress that you wanted? When you saw the massive SALE sign?

The constant 'borrowing' of ideas in the High Street has led to the fashion evolving into one big incestuous mess. An example of this is the Topshop 'Geek' t-shirts; I was over the moon when I saw it in Republic for a mere £12 instead of £20 - now, imagine my disappoint when I strolled into Primark feeling rather smug after my 'bargain' purchase to see the same t-shirt for under £10! You might argue that the quality differs, but where is the uniqueness?

Embracing the Enchanted!

“The earth has music for those who listen.”

When was the last time you really had a look at your surroundings and appreciated the beating pulse of the harmonious chaos of life that surrounds you?

I was reminded of this when a little stroll in the park at dusk turned into a stunning photo shoot with Nature as my beautiful model.
The daffodils reared their beautiful heads just in time for Spring.
